India.com’s email inbox looks quite decent in it’s spartan form. No mumbo jumbo advertisements and the interface is much similar to Yahoo’s inbox, a preview pane at the bottom while the inbox keeps floating on the upper pane. The main mail folders are Inbox, Drafts, Sent mail, Junkmail and trash which is quite similar to Gmail and Hotmail’s default mail folders.
The service claims to provide an unlimited amount of storage in it’s first day release.
There are additional features e.g a Social networks panel which lets you connect your Twitter and Facebook account’s and read social media updates directly from your india.com email inbox. Here is how the social media panel of India.com look like
It appears that almost anyone can book their India.com email address, regardless of whether they are really an “Indian” or not. I have reached out to India.com for additional information on their release, will update the post when they respond.
